Getting started with Personal Pilates is easy

1. Book Your Introductory Session

Schedule your first session at a convenient time, either in-person or online. We’ll discuss your goals, any physical restrictions, and get started with a few fundamental exercises.

2. Choose your session style

Personal Pilates is done your way.You can choose to do individual sessions, or exercise with a partner in duet sessions, or even opt for trio sessions.Sessions can be done online or in person (mobile pilates).

3. Choose Your Ideal Package

Choose a Pilates Premium Monthly Package that works for you.Our standard sessions are 50 minutes. However, if you'd like 30-minute sessions or other customizations, let us know and we'll put together a custom package for you.

Hi there, I’m James. I'm the Lead Instructor here at My Personal Pilates.I'm a BASI Qualified Pilates Mat Work Instructor with nine years of experience as a personal trainer and Pilates instructor.My journey with Pilates began as a personal one. I struggled with low muscle tone and found traditional weightlifting wasn’t for me.Pilates was my ‘ah-ha’ moment.It’s a practice that’s not about pushing through weaknesses, but about celebrating and enhancing your strengths.I’ve made it my mission to help others discover the power of Pilates, especially those who might not feel at home in a traditional gym environment.In my years as a Pilates instructor, I've been witness to many of my clients' triumphs, including:

  • My client who went from taking several anti-inflammatory tablets a week to not needing an anti-inflammatory for over 9 months. (And the only reason she needed it was because she'd been walking the cobbled streets of Dublin for a whole day!).

  • Another client who went from struggling to maintain any kind of exercise routine to consistently showing up to Pilates classes — for the last seven years!

  • My client who started his Pilates journey eight years ago to because he was experiencing lower back pain. He's since become an avid sport climber and credits Pilates for the core strength needed on those tough climbs.

The Introductory Session is the first step on your Personal Pilates Journey.We’ll meet, chat about your fitness goals, discuss any physical restrictions you might have, and get you started with some fundamental Pilates exercises.After the session, you can decide whether you'd like to continue with Pilates on a regular basis — there's no obligation. So give Personal Pilates a try!


1. Choose your session style.

The way you do Personal Pilates is up to you.Choose between an online session (conducted via the video call app of your choice) or a mobile session, where I'll come to you and conduct your session in-person (Randburg & surrounds).You can also choose an individual session, or train with a buudy in a duet or trio session.

2. Book your session.

Choose a suitable time and answer a few questions, so we can allocate enough time.Remember, this timeslot is just for your Introductory Session — not necessarily for future sessions.


3. Confirm and make payment.

Within 24 hours of booking, we'll be in touch with your invoice for the session.
We'll also confirm your address (for a mobile session) or video call details (for an online session).

Set Weekly Sessions
